The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles (KCCLA) successfully held a Korean Story Time event for local children and parents at the Southern California Children's Museum (SCCM) on May 27th (Saturday), 2023.

SCCM celebrated its 10th anniversary this year by hosting the "Day of Play" event for children and families from diverse cultures. KCCLA selected the book "<Dokkaebi Bangmangi(도깨비 방망이)>" (written by Hyang-geum Kim, illustrated by Sun-kyung Kim) and read it to the children. The program also had a hands-on experience making Dokkaebi Bangmangi (goblin's stick), a traditional Korean plaything, from the folktale.

KCCLA aims to consistently organize Korean Story Time events to introduce and familiarize children with Korean culture from an early age.
