The Korean Cultural Center in Hungary will organize a Korean Cultural Festival with 12 online and offline programs on 4 spots in Budapest. K-gugak (i.e. Korean folk music) is the focus of the Korea Cultural Festival, which runs from September 8 to 30. Through the concerts, workshops, film screenings and music and dance performance presenting the ancient royal rituals, those interested can get to know not only the history of Korean music, but also Buddhist eating habits and culinary arts in the course of nearly a month.

The event series starts with folk music and instrumental workshops, lecture concerts and symposiums in the Korean Cultural Center in Hungary and the Hungarian Heritage House between 8 and 14 September. Concerts of Black String, Lee Hee-Moon 'NAL' and Park Jiha will be held on 13 and 17 September.

Jongmyo Jeryeak by National Gugak Center, will be performing on 21 September in Erkel Theatre

Movie screenings related to Korean music and its history will be held in the Korean Cultural Center on 15 and 22 September. The programs introduce the various colors of Korean traditional music, which has continued from the beginning of "K-Gugak" to the present.

Beside the music events, Korean gastronomy events will also be held in the city with Jeong Kwan Buddhist nun and chef of Korean cuisine.
