Korean Cultural Center in Brazil Shares Bulgogi Recipe

The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (Director: Kim Cheol-Hong) has shared an easy-to-cook Korean recipe through the prominent Brazilian media outlet "Folha de Sao Paulo."

With Korean movies and dramas enjoying consecutive success in Brazil, the Cultural Center decided to introduce a simple Bulgogi recipe using ingredients that can be easily found in local markets. This decision takes into consideration the challenges of sourcing traditional Korean ingredients in Brazil.

The Cultural Center has been organizing Korean cooking classes every year but acknowledged that students often found it difficult to obtain ingredients like gochujang or doenjang, which are not readily available locally. Therefore, they chose to promote Korean dishes that can be prepared with ingredients readily available in local supermarkets.

Director Kim Cheol-Hong stated that sharing practical Korean recipes that take into account the local context would be an effective way to promote Korean cuisine.
