The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles (Director Sangwon Jung), in collaboration with the Korean Senior & Community Center (Chairman Youngshin Shin) hosted 'Time Travel with KCCLA: The Moments of Happiness with Classical Movies' at the Korean Senior & Community Center. The event took place every Mondays at the second and third week at noon during the period of July 24th to September 18th.
This Korean classic film screening was organized to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Korean immigration to the United States and to provide first-generation immigrant audiences with an experience of reminiscing about old memories and nostalgia and immersing themselves in the charm of classic Korean films for the first time in a long time.
The Maid (released in 1960, directed by Kiyoung Kim), The Coachman (released in 1961, directed by Daejin Kang), The Guest in Room Guest and Mother (released in 1961, directed by Sangok Shin), The Aimless Bullet (released in 1961, directed by Hyeonmok Yoo), Mist Village (released in 1983, directed by Kwontaek Im), A Wanderer Never Stops on the Road (released in 1987, directed by Lee Jang-ho) were screened for free over six sessions. All of the audience members enjoyed watching classical films together.
