Events at KCCs abroad

✅ We already know that on September 25 we will see Jongmyo Jeryeak's performance at the National Philharmonic 🤩

✅ We know that this name means a ritual form of music and dance art, which is part of the court ritual ceremony taking place on the graves of the rulers of the Korean Yi dynasty of the Joseon state 👌

✅ We also know that the live Jongmyo Jeryeak experience will be possible thanks to the National Gugak Center and the Korean Cultural Center ❤️

So it's time to take a closer look at what we will soon see on stage 🔥 In the next two weeks, we will discover original Korean instruments that the artists will use during this special evening!

1️⃣ Eo - wooden percussion instrument in the shape of a lying tiger. There are 27 teeth protruding from its back, which produce a characteristic sound. The artist hits the tiger's head with a bamboo stick and then drags it across its back three times, signaling the end of the song.
2️⃣ Bak - consists of six thin wooden strips, tied at one end with a leather strap. The artist spreads the slats with two hands and then puts them back together with an energetic movement. Hitting the slats produces a characteristic sound.
3️⃣ Chuk - a wooden percussion instrument in the shape of a wooden box. There is a hole drilled in its surface in which a wooden club is inserted. The artist taps the bottom of the box with his stick, signaling the beginning of a new piece.

We invite you to participate in the event 👉 https://tiny.pl/cc6vw 👈 And soon another portion of knowledge! ☺️
