Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles held a screening of ‘Songs of Love' and ‘Words of Wisdom from the Rainbow State’, two documentary films about the immigration history of Koreans in America, at the Ari Hall of the Korean Cultural Center on September 22.

It was planned to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Korean American Immigration, looking back on the history of Korean immigrants that began in Hawaii, and to talk about the future of peace and harmony for the next generation. In the movies, the turbulent and touching history of the immigration story from Korean ancestors hidden in the scenery of Hawaii was highlighted and brought tears to the eyes of the audience.

After the film screening, director Jinyoung Lee Won had a valuable time sharing various stories with the audience, including the film production background and behind-the-scenes stories, and the love and wisdom of Korean immigrant ancestors.
