World famous Korean buddhist nun Jeong Kwan, also known from the Netflix series ‘Chef's Table’, arrived in Budapest last month by the invitation of the Korean Cultural Center in Hungary. As part of the Korean Cultural Festival in September, Jeong Kwan prepared her specials in front of Hungarian celebrity chefs and members of the press, which she says helps people cope with sadness and leads to a happier life. The philosopher-chef came to Hungary to give a lecture on the art of church cooking, health and sustainability. The Korean Buddhist monk approaches cooking not as a chef, but as a Zen practitioner. The cooking event was streamed on the Facebook page and YouTube channel of the Korean Cultural Center in Hungary.
