The Korean Essay Writing Contest, which was held in commemoration of the 577th Hangeul Day, differed from previous years and both preliminary and final rounds were combined into one single contest that took place on 10.7 (Saturday) at the National University of Singapore.

Amidst fierce competition, Ms Geraldine Chng, Ms. Shanna Tan Xin Wei and Ms. Maureen Rose Christabelle emerged victorious winning first, second and third place respectively, while Mr. Hor Xinrong won the award for Most Creative Story and Ms. Glenyse Lim Rui Qi won the award for the Most Touching Story.
