In commemoration of the 567th anniversary of King Sejong's creation of the Korean language and Korean National Hangeul Day (October 9^th), we are hosting a Korean Language Writing and Speaking Contest on Friday, October 11, 2013 to widely spread the excellence and pride of Korean language and culture to non-Koreans who are studying Hangeul. The 3^rd Annual Korean Language Writing and Speaking Contest will be open for participation for adults and high school students residing in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. This edition of the competition will be divided into adult writing and high school writing, as well as a new speaking competition section with one grand prize winner, one gold medalist, one silver medalist, and one bronze medalist in each of the sections. They will be awarded a certificate and either prize money or a scholarship. Dinner will be provided on the competition day for all contestants.
