Korean Cultural Center hosted a concert titled 'K-Friendship Concert' in Ankara CSO Historical Hall on November 11th, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
Approximately 600 local classical music enthusiasts, Hallyu fans, and expatriates attended the event, adding vibrancy to the venue. Before the concert, a Korean cuisine reception was held, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience dishes such as kimbap and dakgangjeong.
As the first Korean couple to serve as professors at the Vienna National Music University, baritone Ahn Min-su and pianist Shin Mi-jeong, currently active in Europe, presented a vibrant performance. They showcased a variety of works, including art songs, opera arias, and piano solos. Particularly noteworthy was the encore performance of the sea shanty 'Geomundo Boat Song,' which, immediately after its conclusion, elicited numerous curtain calls and standing ovations from the approximately 600 members of the audience who filled the concert hall.
