[K-POP Concert] "SING THE WAVE" KIM JONG KOOK and SHORRY

Last December 7th, The Korean Cultural Center and KOFICE co-hosted and assisted at Claridge events, to enjoy Kim Jong Kook songs and his wonderful performance with Shorry J as special guest.

Around five hundred people gathered at the entrance before 7pm, and thirty minutes later doors opened inviting everyone to find the right spot to see the concert.

Monday Feeling vocal, Ian, began the night singing an unreleased song, called “Seongsu-dong” that is dedicated to his beloved city, Seoul. To make everything more fun, the artist asked for the audience to participate by singing and dancing and it created a very cheerful atmosphere. As the last song, he played a love song named Starlight that was released this past August.

At half eight,  the star of the night, Kim Jong Kook started his performance with “Today more than yesterday” a lively song that made the public groove when Kook encouraged them to move their hands and dance with him in the chorus part. Once he finished singing, he greeted the public and expressed his gratitude. It was his first time in Belgium and he said he loved it, and that he felt so welcomed and happy to perform here in Brussels.

As a reminiscence,  he played music of his past band, Turbo and sang them featuring Shorry J, an amazing rapper that gave all the songs an energetic vibe. Love Is and Twist King were the hits of the concert, the audience was dancing and singing, but the best performance for sure was the last song, Loveable, which was such a superb performance and made the crowd clap and dance even more. As an encore Kook and Shorry J played Black Cat Nero with a dancing part included, the fans loved Kook’s moves.

The goodbye was overwhelming, fans were hectic and when the concert finished, they waited for the celebrities outside, screaming, recording them and even crying, even though the ending was a bit chaotic, the overall of the concert was full of good energy, very emotional and fun.
