On 8 February 2024, Shin Myeong Hwan, the curator of the exhibition titled ‘The Taste of Manhwa’ and director of the Korean Comics Society was the guest of series ‘Grand Comics’ in Grand Café Szeged. Shin and moderator, comics expert Zoltán Ádám Szabó talked about the 100-year history of manhwa, the future of South Korean comics and the possibilities of artistic exchange.

'The Taste of Manhwa’, the exhibition organized and hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Hungary moved from Budapest to Szeged. A part of the exhibition is available in Grand Café Szeged until 28 March. The selection, which includes a mix of paper and original digital comics for children, teenagers and adults, offers insights into Korean society, as well as the specificities of the manhwa genre.
