Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. (KCCDC) participated in the Lunar New Year Family Celebration at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 10. The event took place at the museum's Kogod Courtyard and attracted 10,000 visitors. The KCCDC organized various programs to share Korean customs related to Seollal, the Korean Lunar New Year. This event was co-presented by the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. (Embassy of the Republic of Korea) and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China. 


There were various activites and programs prepared for visitors, including K-pop cover dance performances, traditional Samulnori performances, traditional dance performances. There was also a photo booth where visitors could try on Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) and take photos with props and backgrounds related to Korean culture. 


The KCCDC also hosted a booth displaying traditional Korean crafts and miniature displays related to Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year) customs and ran a coloring and crafts station where visitors learned about Seollal and traditional Korean culture.
