Dive into the world of Korean children’s literature with ‘À l'eau!’

Come by the KCC and dive into the world of Korean children's literature on the occasion of the publication of the picturebook À l'eau! by Heejin Park which was published by CotCotCot.!'

Together we will immerse ourselves in the world of Korean author-illustrator Heejin Park through a presentation and reading of her book. Which will be followed by a reading of a selection of other great Korean picture books. 

An artistic workshop for children will also be provided for those who wish to be creative with watercolor and pencil.

To end this event, a small drink will be offered and it will be possible to buy some Korean children’s books thanks to the presence of Le Wolf.

Synopsis À l'eau!

A grandmother is reluctant to accompany her granddaughter to the swimming pool because of her

aching body. When the child finally convinces her to go, she does nothing but complain all they way

there. However after she finally enters the swiming pool she immediately feels relaxed. Now she

doesn't even want to leave the pool anymore!


Author-illustrator Heejin PARK

Heejin PARK studied visual arts at ENSA Dijon and afterwards lived for a while in Lyon to learn French. À l'eau! (In the Water) is her first album as an author-illustrator. The book received a special mention from the Korean section of Ibby* in 2021. *IBBY, International Board on Books for Young people, is an non-profit organisation that was founded

in Zurich, Switzerland in 1953. One of their main missions is to give children everywhere the opportunity to have access to books with high literary and artistic standards; and to protect and uphold the Rights of the Child according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.


CotCotCot éditions


CotCotCot éditions, is an independent publishing house that is located in Brussels and was founded by Odile Flament in 2011. It publishes literature for children in paper and digital formats.
