This Spring, the London Symphony Orchestra will present two concerts featuring works by the Korean composers Unsuk Chin and Donghoon Shin.

On 14 March 2024, presenting Beethoven and Unsuk Chin the LSO will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No2 and Symphony No 8 as well as Unsuk Chin’s Piano Concerto in a concert that will be recorded by the BBC [BBC Radio 3 will broadcast the concert on 15 April].

On Sunday 7 April the LSO present The Music of Tomorrow – LSO Futures with François-Xavier Roth. The concert includes the UK premiere of Donghoon Shin’s ‘Nachtergebung’ (Cello Concerto) as well as Unsuk Chin’s SPIRA.  

The LSO describe the concert as ‘vivid, moreish music by Unsuk Chin and Donghoon Shin, plus beguiling works by emerging talents, conducted by François-Xavier Roth’.
