On November 14, 2023, Consul General Euy Whan Kim hosted a luncheon for Alexander Campagna and his spouse. The couple welcomed nine Korean tourists stranded near their home during a sudden snowstorm in December last year, providing them shelter and meals. They visited Korea in May of this year at the invitation of the Korea Tourism Organization.

After hearing about the Campagnas' visit to Korea, Consul General Kim expressed his hope for their friendship with the Koreans to continue. The Campagnas shared their joy of reuniting with six of the Koreans they had hosted during their trip to Korea, highlighting it as a special experience of celebrating the holidays with unexpected Korean friends. They expressed their gratitude to the Korean government and the Korea Tourism Organization for the special opportunity.
