Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Centre Australia, in collaboration with the Korea Craft & Design Foundation(KCDF), is hosting a Korean cuisine culture class with the theme of “SOBAN & JUANSANG” to promote Korean food culture.

Through this program we would like to promote the unique value and inherent beauty of Korean food culture through showcasing “JUANSANG(주안상)” which is a unique table setup for drinking, and “SOBAN(소반)”, a type of Korean traditional dining table. The event includes cooking demonstrations for Juansang and tastings with chef Heather Jeong as well as various activities to experience the traditional Korean games developed by KCDF such as Jegichagi(제기), Ddakji(딱지), Gonggi(공기), and Sangaji(산가지), etc. Also you can enjoy making a mini Soban through the traditional Korean crafts workshops.

We invite you to have a chance to experience the unique value of Korean food and its related culture.

TIME & DATE: 11.30am~1pm, 23rd April 2024 (Tuesday)
