Taekwondo is a martial art that trains practitioners to be able to execute bare-handed defense and attack techniques characterized by different types of kicks for the purpose of self-defense and self-realization.

The demonstration performance of the Korean National Taekwondo Demonstration Team, 'The Light of the East', consists of the world's highest level of high-level technical breakthrough and spectacular performance, and combines Korean traditional music and Taekwondo movements to present artistic works beyond a single martial art through dynamic movements. The high-quality Taekwondo performance, presented with K-pop, which leads the world's music, and Arirang, a traditional Korean folk song, is enough for people around the world to know the value of Taekwondo.

Korean National Taekwondo Demo Team : The National Taekwondo Demo Team, affiliated with the Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA), is one of the representative Taekwondo Demonstration Teams for Korea, actively promoting Taekwondo domestically and internationally through various activities.
