Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles(KCCLA) held the "Hands-on Kimchi Making with KCCLA" event at the Palisades Library in Pacific Palisades on May 4th to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month.

KCCLA organized this event with the Los Angeles Public Library Palisades Branch Library and chef Yoon Hee Kim joined the event as an instructor. Participants had the unique opportunity to learn about the rich history of kimchi, explore the cultural significance of kimjang, and discover various Korean dishes featuring kimchi. Everyone actively participated in making kimchi with pre-prepared ingredients, gaining hands-on experience in this essential aspect of Korean cuisine.

Adding to the cultural immersion, traditional Korean tea was served as a dessert, allowing participants to appreciate the full spectrum of flavors that Korean cuisine offers. KCCLA will host various events that celebrate and share the richness of Korean culture with the local community.
