CGV LA is set to open in LA on June 11. Located in Madang Courtyard entertainment center in Korea Town, CGV LA has three screens, 600 seats and 3D projection. One of the screens will show Korean films all the time.

One week before the official opening, CGV LA held a ceremony of Korean traditional performance and US premieres of films including Blades of Blood, Secret Reunion, and Haeundae.

Aiming to be a bridge for Korean culture to the US, the theater will release Korean films with English subtitles almost at the same time as in Sourh Korea. Non-Korean films will be shown with Korean subtitles. In addition to commercial titles, CGV LA will screen arthouse films and hold special showcases, as well as sports programs and live concerts by Korean singers.
