The Korean Cultural Centre Canada (KCC) is pleased to partner with Fantasia 2024 to present excellent Korean films and provide cultural experiences.

[Korean Film Screenings]

There are 7 Korean feature films, including <FAQ>, <The Killers>, <Brave Citizen>, <4 PM>, <Mash Ville>, <The Roundup: Punishment> and <The Tenants>, and 20 short films at Fantasia this year.

[Korean Cultural Centre Cultural Experience Program]

During the festival period, Fantasia and the Korean Cultural Centre Canada proudly present the Korean Culture Boxes exhibition. The Korean Culture Boxes will provide an interactive journey for understanding and experiencing the lifestyle of Koreans.

Hansik Box: The Hansik boxes are designed to provide an easy and joyful introduction to hansik (Korean food) for all Fantasia audiences. These interactive exhibition boxes offer an enjoyable experience of Korean food culture, allowing audiences to discover their favourite Korean dishes.

Hanbok Box: The Hanbok Box offers a unique opportunity for audiences to try on hanbok, the traditional Korean clothing, along with various types of hats. Immerse yourself in the unique beauty of Korea with the Hanbok Box. Please note that the Hanbok Box is only exhibited occasionally.

[Makgeolli Workshop]

In conjunction with the screenings of <FAQ>, Fantasia and the Korean Cultural Centre Canada are pleased to host two Makgeolli Workshops featuring makgeolli expert M. Carol Duplain Ing, president of Brasserie Vrooden Inc. This workshop offers an opportunity to share Carol's expertise and provide an introduction to makgeolli (a traditional Korean rice wine made by fermenting rice and a fermentation starter called nuruk). Participants will have the chance to taste makgeolli and learn how to craft their own using the provided kits.

[Ottawa Special Screening: CineMapsosa 2024]

In collaboration with the Fantasia International Film Festival, the Korean Cultural Centre Canada (KCC) is excited to host the special screening of CineMapsosa 2024 in Ottawa! Join us on August 3 at 2 PM at the KCC for an exclusive showcase featuring a screening and a Directors' Talk with JEONG Jaehee and JANG Hawon. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the innovative works of emerging South Korean directors and gain insights directly from the filmmakers themselves.
