KCCLA successfully held a K-culture experience celebrating the 2024 Korea-Alaska Friendship Day



On June 29th, the Korean Cultural Center, LA successfully held various Korean cultural experience events at Anchorage Dimond Mall for residents to celebrate [2024 Korea-Alaska Friendship Day].


 

Hosted by the Korean American Community of Anchorage, Inc. and co-sponsored by the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Anchorage and the Korean Cultural Center LA, the event was attended by prominent figures from the local community, including the Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives, the Lieutenant Governor of Alaska, state legislators, Korean War veterans, and representatives from the Korean community.

 





Residents of Anchorage experienced a variety of Korean cultural activities that they typically don't encounter, such as trying on Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), writing their names in Hangul (Korean alphabet), tasting Korean food, etc. The event was particularly enlivened by a K-POP performance by the dance team Prism Kru.
