On July 5, the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand held a K-POP Academy mini-concert at the Center with K-POP Academy class students, Wat Ratchasingkhon School students, and more than 200 people attending the event.
At the event, 10 teams of students from singing and dancing classes showed the skills they had been practicing for the past two weeks through their performance. There was also a special performance from dance club students from Wat Ratchasingkhon School, the school in the project "To Be Number One" initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Siriwattana Phannawadee and a mini dance workshop for the students from Wat Ratchasingkhon School.
Before the concert began, they had a closing ceremony for the Korean tourism photography exhibition 'Show Me Your Korea'. The center gave each exhibition participant a photo with a frame and a photo album as a souvenir.
His Excellency Mr. Yongmin Park, the Korean Ambassador to Thailand, gave words of encouragement to the students and sang 'Live and Learn' by Kamala Sukosol, the popular Thai song, for the audience as a surprise gift along with K-POP Academy students to lighten up a lively atmosphere at the event. That was the moment that Korea and Thailand were united through music.
The Korean Cultural Center will try to provide more opportunities for Thai youth to follow their dreams and enjoy Korean culture and K-POP in the future.
