The Korean Cultural Center organized "Korean Culture Caravan 2024" at Chiang Mai University on July 10 and Chiang Mai Rajabhat University on July 11. The event had over 400 people participating in the two-day activities.
The "Korean Culture Caravan 2024" activity began with a Jindobukchum performance by Minji Jeon, a Korean folk music instructor at the Korean Cultural Center.
After that, His Excellency Mr. Yongmin Park, Korean Ambassador to Thailand, Expressed his congratulations at the opening ceremony, saying in part: “Your interest in Korea and Korean culture is growing and blossoming in the form of studying Korean in Thailand today. Today we have brought Korean food, Hanbok, and many cultural activities for everyone to experience. I hope you all enjoy today's event."
Korean Cultural Center donated costumes and equipment for Buchaechum for both institutions and also donated Korean traditional handicraft kits to the Sejong Institute Chiang Mai. Closing with the dance cover performance from Chiangmai dance cover team "Energent" in TXT's song, which drew overwhelming cheers and applause from the audience.
In addition, staff from the center also showed their cooking skills by making scallion pancakes and kimchi pancakes for the students. Everyone gave a thumbs up to praise the staff's cooking skills. There are also other activities such as a Buchaechum workshop, a Korean cultural OX quiz competition, and a range of Hanbok and Korean school uniforms for the students to try on.
Korean Cultural Center feels the enthusiasm to experience Korean culture and is very proud of the response received from the participants in this activity. KCC will continue to organize these activities to provide Thai people in all areas the opportunity to experience Korean culture.
