Seminar on "Science and Technology for Music" in Siena
On Tuesday, August 20th, the seminar on “Science and Technology for Music” was held at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, presented by Prof. Marco Malagodi of the University of Pavia, who illustrated the main characteristics of non-invasive diagnostic activity applied to ancient musical instruments. The seminar was followed by a performance by cellist Eleonora Testa who played the Stradivari cello from the collection of the Accademia Chigiana.
Finally, Korean pianist Chloe Jiyeong Mun made her debut in Siena for the first time with a fantastic concert entitled “Taegeuk”.
This event, held in the presence of the director of the Korean Cultural Center in Italy Ye Jin Chun, was organized for the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Korea.
