Events at KCCs abroad

The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles held the <K-POP Dance Night> event on August 3rd at the Ray Charles Terrace in the GRAMMY Museum in collaboration with the museum.

This event was held in conjunction with the annual ‘K-POP Cover Dance Festival’ US finals. Participants from all over the US, including California, Illinois, and Utah, showed off their skills and heated up the stage.

The winner was AfterDark, who perfectly performed ‘Badvillain’ by ‘Badvillain’. AfterDark, a seven-member dance team from Salt Lake City who captivated the audience with their performance, said, “We are happy to have won the US finals. Most of the team members will be visiting Korea for the first time through this opportunity. It feels like a dream, and we are happy.” They will be invited to the World Finals stage to be held in Korea in September.

The 9-member dance team 'WANTED' took 2nd place, and the LA-based dance team 'Lalary' took 3rd place.

In addition, the participating teams and the audience enjoyed K-pop random play dance together, and there were various things to see and enjoy with the photo booth and giveaway event. In particular, artist Zi-be-zi, who worked on the mural at the entrance to the first floor of the GRAMMY Museum, went up on stage and had fun with fans through song and rap, adding to the excitement of the event.
