The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles held the ‘2024 K-POP Dance & Vocal Academy in Boulder’ for a week from August 19th at the University of Colorado Boulder campus.

This event, held in collaboration with the Department of Oriental Languages and Literature at CU Boulder, was attended by students from the school and K-pop fans in the Boulder area. They got five days of dance and vocal training from professional instructors with diverse stage experience and directing know-how, and on the last day, they had time to perform the dances and songs they had learned.

Director Sang-won Jeong of the Cultural Center said, “I am glad to be holding the K-POP Academy in the Boulder area of Colorado, where there were relatively few opportunities to directly experience Korean popular culture such as K-POP. I hope to introduce Korean culture to various regions in the western United States in the future.”
