Events at KCCs abroad



The Korean Cultural Center in Hungary will participate with programs promoting Korean literature and book culture, focusing on Korean illustrations and picture books at the 29th Budapest International Book Festival which will take place at Millenárs between 26 and 29 September. 


At the booth of the Korean Cultural Center, children and adults are welcome with English and Hungarian publications, special illustrated Korean picture books, coloring books and games. The stand is also the place to submit drawings for the "Ingenious Korea" drawing competition, which was announced on 26 August.


On the occasion of the Hungarian edition of Watermelon Pool by Bonsoir Lune (Csimota Publishing, 2024), a book launching event and special creative handcraft activities will be held. On 28 September, a sand animation performance will be presented by Korean illustrator Hwan-Young Kim and Hungarian graphic designer and animation film director, Ferenc Cakó. People who are interested in Korean culture and literature, can participate in a round table discussion and an improvisational performance by Momentán Theatre.  Besides the craft activities, a folk tale reading will also be organized for children.


The entry is free of charge.
