OPEN STAGE at Korean Cultural Service NY Presents: Chaeree Kaang Band

The Korean Cultural Service New York will proudly present Chaeree Kaang Band on Friday, March 21, at 7PM.  Chaeree Kaang Band was selected by our judges as the fourth performance of the 2013-2014 Open Stage performing arts series. Acclaimed by legendary producer Quincy Jones as a “crown jewel,” eighteen year-old pianist, Chaeree Kaang was born in 1995 in Seoul, Korea. In 2011, Kaang was awarded Berkley College of Music’s Presidential Scholarship, which offers full tuition and living expenses.

Kaang will make her New York debut while performing with Fabrizio Sciacca, Jongkuk Kim, Cosimo Boni, and Cho Young Ahn. Her program will present various dynamic programs such as her own compositions, Korean traditional folk pieces, traditional jazz pieces, and more.

We are excited to offer this free performance for the people of New York.  Reservation information is available on our website at: www.koreanculture.org.
