With an overwhelming response from the January performance, the play based on the webtoon produced by the Korean Cultural Center, “The Little Tiger for Korea” opened its second performance on August 28.
The play “The Little Tiger for Korea” is a story about “Pim”, a plastic surgeon and descendant of a Korean war veteran who travels back in time to the Korean War era to solve a problem of “Kay”, a K-pop idol whose identity suddenly disappears from everyone’s memories. After witnessing the battle and the sacrifice of brave soldiers in the past, Pim grew up as a better doctor and a person.
On the day of the performance was attended by over 200 people, including H.E. Mr. Park Yong-min, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, Ms. Darunee Thammapodol, Advisor to the Ministry of Culture (Foreign Affairs), M.R. Chalermchatri Yukol, a subcommittee member for film industry promotion, Mr. Charan Homthianthong, a subcommittee member for book industry promotion, Mr. Sittichai Theppaithong, a subcommittee member for game industry promotion, and Dr. Thanakorn Srisuksai, CEO of Thai Media Fund.
The play “The Little Tiger for Korea” is also one of the “Kore A Round Culture 2024 International Cultural Cooperation Support Projects” of the Korea Institute for International Cultural Exchange and has received the opportunity to perform in Korea on September 4 and 6, 2024 with support from the ARTS COUNCIL KOREA (ARCO), the Contemporary Arts & Culture Industry Promotion Trade Association of Thailand, and the Korean Cultural Center.
