The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Director: Sangwon Jung) successfully hosted the <Rising K-Classic> concert, held at Ari Hall on the evening of September 26th, which was a resounding success, with a full audience enjoying the autumn night of K-classical music.
The event featured a lineup of young and talented vocalists and instrumentalists active in Southern California, including soprano Juhye Kim, mezzo-soprano Wooyoung Kim, tenor Kyuyoung Lee, baritone Christopher Bang, violinists Jeongah Kim and Hee Sun Kang, violist Ji-In Han, cellist Wonsun Keem, and pianists Heejung Ju and So-mang Jegal. These classical artists performed various pieces, including European art songs, string quintets, piano solos, vocal duets and ensembles, and Korean art-pop songs, offering the audience of Korean residents and local Americans a diverse classical experience that received much applause and support. The evening concluded with the performers and audience singing the Korean song "Barley Field, "celebrating the essence of an autumn night together.
