Events at KCCs abroad

On July 3, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York celebrated its 75th anniversary at the Korean Cultural Center.


The celebration featured remarks from Consul General Euy Whan Kim and a video congratulatory message from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy. The ceremony also included recognition awards for the Korean American Association of Greater New York and NYPD Commissioner Ed Caban for their contributions to the Korean community and the Korea-U.S. alliance.


Consul General Kim highlighted the Consulate's growth alongside the strong Korea-U.S. alliance and Korea's remarkable development. He emphasized the Consulate's dedication to promoting the rights of the Korean community, improving public services, expanding consular services, and collaborating with the NYPD to ensure the community's safety and crime prevention. He expressed hope that the event would instill pride in the community for their global achievements and inspire them toward a better future.
