Goblin Party x Art Project Bora announcing

In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KOFICE, the South Korean contemporary dance companies ‘Goblin Party’ and ‘Art Project Bora’ will perform in Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil throughout October as part of the Korean Contemporary Dance Tour in Latin America, celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Uruguay.

The Goblin Party group consists of choreographers who explore co-creation processes and their connection to audience reception. With the performance "Once Upon a Time" (20 min), they aim to preserve tradition through contemporary ideas, using traditional Korean costumes, elements of Pansori, and folk tales.

Meanwhile, Art Project Bora is a creative team dedicated to contemporary dance, focusing on the body and its expressive forms, revealing "unsaid ideas." In the presentation "SOMOO" (40 min), inspired by a traditional Korean mask, they incorporate elegance, melodies from Arirang, and movements that evoke the traditional Korean gesture of reverence.

In Brazil, the companies will have an exclusive performance at Espaço Tápias in Rio de Janeiro, marking a special moment that concludes the Festival Dança em Trânsito 2024.
