The Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong brought Korea Square back for its fourth edition on October 5-6, 2024, from 11:00 to 20:00 daily at PMQ Courtyard & Marketplace. The festival offered a perfect blend of activities, workshops, and performances, making it a must-attend event for families, friends, and culture enthusiasts alike.
In the Playground, visitors immersed themselves in Korean culture by trying on Hanbok, playing classic Korean games for free, and learning how to write their names in Korean. The Korea Tourism Organization hosted a free photobooth along with a travel booth, creating lasting memories and inspiring future journeys. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong also unveiled two mystery Korean celebrity figures, kicking off a fresh collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center.
The Showground presented many exciting events. Highlights included the International Space-Out Competition, where participants maintained calm in a fast-paced world. Martial arts fans enjoyed Taekwondo Performances held throughout the weekend, while music lovers experienced a K-pop Community Performance showcasing local talent. Those eager to test their Korea knowledge joined the K-Quiz Golden Bell, competing for prizes worth up to 5,000 HKD. The Kids' EDM Club entertained the little ones, and families enjoyed Korean Food and Ceramic Workshops, gaining new skills and memories.
In the Marketplace, top brands like Samsung and LG showcased cutting-edge products, and food enthusiasts delighted in tastings from K-Beef and Fermentation Heaven, sampling treats from Hanwoo burgers to Makgeolli. Visitors joined AT Center’s premium traditional Korean liquor tastings and cocktail workshops. Eugina Ltd. brought Korea’s beloved Binggrae treats, while KOTRA Hong Kong introduced K-food through reFOODlution and pet goods with Ruff & Fetch. KOCCA highlighted modern Korean media and goods, and Pine Food featured Korean health supplements from “Esther Formula.”
Korea Square continued to solidify itself as a unique cultural festival in Hong Kong, seamlessly blending tradition with family fun. With music, food, and creative workshops, Korea Square 2024 offered an unforgettable weekend for everyone.
