On September 23, 2024, Consul General Euy Whan Kim met with the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) to discuss expanding cooperation in the economic and community sectors between the two countries.

The meeting followed the Korea-Japan Consulate Cooperation Dialogue held on July 24. Key figures from Japan's economic and cultural sectors in New York were present, including Mr. Tetsuo Kawate, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Corporation Americas and President of JCCI, along with representatives from the Japan Foundation.
