The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden (Koreanskt Kulturcenter) has opened a new exhibition titled "Dances and Music of the Joseon Royal Court."
This exhibition showcases representative Korean musical instruments used at royal banquets during the Joseon Dynasty, including the 'gayageum (가야금),' 'geomungo (거문고),' 'daegeum (대금),' and 'piri (피리).' It also features traditional performance costumes and ancient documents such as the <Daeakhubo> and <Akhakgwebeom>, highlighting various aspects of Korea's royal family.
The National Gugak Center sent professional performers to Sweden for the exhibition's opening event. The performers played pieces of traditional Korean royal court music while showcasing authentic costumes.
We welcome you to visit our center and explore traditional Korean culture.
