Korean Cultural Center Turkiye held the Korea-Turkiye Calligraphy and Painting International Exchange Exhibition from October 14 (Monday) to October 28 (Monday) at the center's exhibition hall.
The exhibition featured 73 hanging scrolls, including works of Hangul calligraphy, Minhwa (traditional Korean folk painting), and more. These were created by advanced students of the calligraphy course at the Korean Cultural Center Turkiye, in collaboration with the Seoul Calligraphers Association.
The Korean Cultural Center co-hosted the event with the Seoul Calligraphers Association, showcasing the beauty of Hangul and the harmony of Minhwa, while introducing traditional Korean arts. In his remarks, Lee Gijong, President of the Seoul Calligraphers Association, expressed, "It is an honor to come to Ankara, 8,000 kilometers away from Seoul, and have the opportunity to introduce Korea's traditional art of calligraphy and painting." He also stated, "I hope that Turkiye and Korea will continue to foster exchanges through art in the future."
