‘UC San Diego Korean Day Festival’

The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles (Director Sang-won Jeong) and UC San Diego jointly held the <2024 UC San Diego Korean Day Festival> on October 11 at UC SD East Lawn.

This event was created to find, learn about, and promote Korea and to introduce and experience Korean culture to students and locals.

This event prepared various experiences, such as making Korean accessories, mother-of-pearl rings, and Korean calligraphy booths. In particular, this year, a traditional wedding demonstration was held to commemorate Family Hanbok Day, showcasing traditional Korean wedding customs. In addition, a Hanbok-wearing experience and photo event were held together, receiving much attention from students.
