The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden (Koreanskt Kulturcenter) extends its congratulations to the winners of this year's Korean Picturebook Translation Competition.

This year's participants were quite diverse. Among them was a Korean father and son duo who translated a picture book as part of a family project. Additionally, there was a Swedish father who translated a picture book for his Swedish-Korean baby. Of course, there were also language enthusiasts who found joy in learning Korean and translating it. The motivations behind their participation in the competition were truly insightful.

The award ceremony took place at the cultural center in Stockholm. Unfortunately, those who do not reside in Stockholm were unable to attend in person. We extend our thanks to the people from other cities who participated in the translation. We hope we can all gather together one day and have a wholesome discussion about Korean literature and translation between Korean and Swedish.
