2010 is a historical year for us because we are commemorating the 60th anniversary of our most tragic memory, the Korean War.

The Korean War has been referred to by some as the “Forgotten War”. However, the title of this exhibition is called “Unforgettable War”. We cannot forget the struggle, the valor, and the fortitude that eventually made our country what it is today- a free and democratic society.
We can feel the stifling moments through pictures that show civilians desperately climbing over a broken bridge to survive, the eyes of the stiffened solders that carry a dead comrade, and the silent dead body beside the torn picture.

This exhibition also conveys our sincere gratitude to the participating countries, mainly the United States and the American soldiers who fought and died during the Korean War. There are no words that can express our gratitude for their bravery and compassion.

There are many purposes of this exhibit: It is a reminder of the sacrifice and courage of everyone who served in the Korean War. It also makes us consider the unprecedented resurgence of the Korean nation - from once being an impoverished nation to becoming the 10th economic power in the world after sixty years of passion and endurance.
