The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Director Sangwon Jung) successfully hosted the 2024 Korean Spirits performance on November 18 at Zipper Hall.
The event, conducted under the direction of Professor Donald Kim, former UCLA Ethnomusicology professor and director of the Korean Classical Music and Dance Company, featured two parts. The first half showcased performances by honorary overseas inheritors of traditional intangible cultural heritage, recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 2015. The second half presented a stage by the Kkaebiryeong troupe, visiting from Korea to perform in LA.
The concert captivated the audience with diverse Korean traditional arts, including Gugak, dance, and even B-boy performances, delivering both inspiration and enthusiastic applause.
