On December 12th, the Royal Dramatic Theater hosted an event featuring Han Kang, the 2023 Nobel Prize laureate in Literature. The evening included readings, a conversation, and musical performances.

The event began with a discussion about Han Kang’s writing, led by Yukiko Duke alongside author, translator, and literary critic Kristoffer Leandoer. Following this conversation, Yukiko engaged in a dialogue with Han Kang, exploring the thoughts and stories behind all four Swedish editions of her books: <작별하지 않는다 (Jag tar inte farväl)>, <흰 (Den vita boken)>, <소년이 온다 (Levande och döda)>, and <채식주의자 (Vegetarianen)>.

Han Kang read passages from her own book <흰 (Den vita boken)>, while actors Karin Franz Körlof, Elin Klinga, Livia Millhagen, Magnus Roosmann, and Andreas Rothlin Svensson recited excerpts from her other works. The evening was further enhanced by a musical performance from pianist Roland Pöntinen, creating a memorable night of literature, music, and Han Kang.
