Events at KCCs abroad

Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles(KCCLA) (Director Sangwon Jung) participated in the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens on February 1, 2025, celebrating the Year of the Snake.

This marked the first-ever Korean cultural showcase at the festival, featuring traditional performances, Korean calligraphy, and bojagi (wrapping cloth) experiences. The event received overwhelming enthusiasm from visitors and was a resounding success.

In collaboration with the King Sejong Institute Center, USA, the Korean Cultural Center’s program included: Traditional Korean Performances by the Korean Classical Music and Dance Company (11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM at Rothenberg Hall), Bojagi Wrapping & Art Experience, Korean Calligraphy Performance & Demonstration.

Families and visitors from across Los Angeles showed great interest, with tickets selling out early. Every Korean performance played to a full house, and attendees had a unique opportunity to experience the richness of Korean tradition firsthand.
