Invited by the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil, the South Korean group Rapercussion held two free performances in São Paulo on February 16th.
Recognized as the first Korean samba school, Rapercussion held its first performance on Paulista Avenue, in front of the building where the Korean Cultural Center is located.
In the evening, the group performed at the 3rd Lunar New Year Festival - Seollal in the Bom Retiro neighborhood, which was organized by the Bom Retiro Fair (Feira do Bom Retiro, in Portuguese).
Blending the Brazilian samba’s rhythm with the energy of Korean culture, the performances included popular and beloved songs in Brazil, such as 'Vou Festejar', 'Pé na Areia', 'Faraó', and 'Simples Desejo'. As a gift to Brazilian fans for their presence and support, the artists also performed original songs that have yet to be officially released.
Although this wasn't their first time in Brazil, Rapercussion expressed their joy in performing in the country again, stating that it is always a pleasure to connect with Brazilian fans.
