Events at KCCs abroad

On Saturday, March 15th, the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil hosted an exclusive opening for the exhibition Korean Painting: Stamp and Design by artist Suldurumi. The event welcomed over 50 guests, who received gifts featuring designs created by the artist. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a brief talk with Suldurumi, during which he shared insights about his journey and experience in Brazil.

In the exhibition area, visitors could explore reinterpretations of traditional Korean paintings using 20 available stamps, creating their own artwork to take home as a keepsake of the experience. Additionally, a dedicated wall invites guests to leave messages and drawings for the exhibition. One of the highlights among Brazilian visitors was the presence of a special stamp created exclusively for the exhibition: the Guaraná Antarctica logo, a typical Brazilian soda.

On the second floor, in the interactive library space, Suldurumi gave a brief presentation on his artistic journey, emphasizing lessons learned throughout his career in the advertising industry, with a main focus: "creating problems to solve them." Just as fast-food commercials incorporate greasy foods and refreshing beverages to induce thirst, the artist sought to identify challenges within the Cultural Center to enhance the exhibition experience. One of the exhibition’s key highlights is the opportunity for visitors to take home their own works of art.
