From March 13–15, Korean authors Bora Chung, Sang-young Park, and writer-translator Anton Hur participated in Littfest in Umeå, Sweden. Littfest, Sweden’s largest literary festival, welcomed over 20,000 visitors and more than 150 invited authors for three days of engaging literary conversations.

In the days leading up to the festival, the film Love in the Big City was screened at Folkbio in Umeå on March 12 and 13. On March 14, Sang-young Park, with Anton Hur as his translator, discussed his novel—titled Kärlek i Seoul in Swedish—with Stefan Ingvarsson. 

The following day, March 15, Bora Chung spoke about her work—titled Förbannad kanin in Swedish—in conversation with Aase Berg, while Anton Hur joined a session on literary translation with Helena Fagertun.

As the final highlight of the program, all three participants came together for a panel titled Den koreanska vågen ("The Korean Wave"), a discussion on Korean literature moderated by journalist Patrik Lundberg.

It was a pleasure to see Korean authors featured so prominently at such a literary and culturally rich event. Their participation not only showcased the vibrancy and depth of Korean literature but also contributed to meaningful dialogue and cultural exchange on an international stage.
