The Korean Cultural Centre SA (KCCSA) proudly kicked off its highly anticipated school visit series last Wednesday, bringing the dynamic world of K-pop to life at Pretoria Chinese School in an unforgettable event.
This marked the launch of the KCC’s new initiative, aimed at engaging with local communities and introducing Korean culture in fun, interactive ways. Students took to the stage with thrilling K-pop performances, showcasing their dance talents, and were joined by professional dancers who have earned accolades in various K-pop dance competitions.
The event culminated in an exciting round of K-pop random dance, where students and teachers alike joined in, creating an atmosphere full of energy, laughter, and celebration.
"This marks the start of an exciting journey with our school visit series, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick it off. The students’ enthusiasm and participation were truly inspiring, and it was wonderful to see the power of K-pop bringing everyone together," said Jaeil Lee, Senior Press & Media Officer from the Centre.
The successful launch of this event marks the beginning of an exciting new initiative by the KCCSA to bring Korean culture closer to South African communities. Through this school visit series, the KCCSA aims to inspire and engage students across the country with the vibrant world of K-pop and other aspects of Korean culture, fostering deeper cultural understanding and connection.
