The Korean Cultural Center in Poland, in collaboration with the Poznań Paderewski Academy of Music and the Poznań Spring International Festival of Contemporary Music, is supporting the Korean Contemporary Music Series held as part of the 2025 Poznań Spring International Festival of Contemporary Music. This series will feature performances on April 26 (Saturday) at the Poznań Philharmonic Hall and April 28 (Monday) at the Poznań Polskie Theatre. The series will include the world premieres of commissioned symphonies by composers Kim Yushin and Lee Sangjun.
The Poznań Spring International Festival of Contemporary Music (Poznańska Wiosna Muzyczna), which started in 1971, is the oldest contemporary music festival in Poland. Held every spring, the festival features over ten performances across five days at major venues in Poznań, making it a prestigious event. This Korean Contemporary Music Series will be an important opportunity to introduce contemporary Korean composers and works to the Polish contemporary music scene.
Through this collaboration between the Poznań Spring International Festival of Contemporary Music and the Korean Cultural Center in Poland, two young composers, active across Europe and Korea, will be invited. This invitation is expected to bring fresh inspiration and artistic energy to the Polish contemporary music scene.
We invite you to take a deep interest and actively participate in this meaningful event.
