Events at KCCs abroad

On April 26th, the Korean Cultural Center in Sweden (Koreanskt Kulturcenter, KKC) hosted a special Korean Film Screening in celebration of Stockholm’s "Kulturnatt" (Culture Night).

This month's featured film was The Host (괴물), directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bong Joon-ho. Widely recognized as a landmark in Korean cinema, The Host masterfully blends suspense, satire, and family drama, following an ordinary family's fight to rescue their daughter from a monstrous creature emerging from Seoul’s Han River. Audience members were captivated by the film’s powerful storytelling, social commentary, and emotional depth, making it a memorable evening at the KKC.

Thank you to everyone who joined us during Kulturnatt. It was a pleasure to share this special occasion with such an enthusiastic audience.

Our next screening will take place on May 2nd at Kulturhuset, in honor of King Sejong's birthday. We will be screening MAL·MO·E: The Secret Mission (말모이), a touching historical drama that depicts the efforts to preserve the Korean language during the Japanese occupation.

Reservations for the May screening is open soon on the KKC’s official homepage. We look forward to welcoming you for another meaningful and inspiring movie night.
