Events at KCCs abroad

South Korea is enhancing its cultural relations with Nigeria through the "Hanbok Reborn as Art" exhibition at the Nike Art Gallery in Abuja. Organized by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) to commemorate its 15th anniversary, the exhibition features contemporary interpretations of the traditional Korean attire, Hanbok, by eleven Korean artists.

Ambassador Kim Pankyu emphasized the exhibition's role in conveying Korea's cultural heritage and fostering global appreciation. He highlighted that Hanbok embodies Korea's history, culture, and identity, and its modern artistic expressions serve as a bridge between tradition and contemporary art.

Chief Nike Okundaye, founder of the Nike Art Gallery, praised the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchanges between nations. She encouraged Nigerian artists and the public to explore Korean creativity and culture through the exhibition.

The Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) continues to play a pivotal role in facilitating these exchanges, offering programs in Korean language, Taekwondo, K-pop, and traditional arts, thereby fostering deeper cultural ties between the two countries.
